| Public complaints about non availability of Toilets for general public in the city forced CPLC to initiate plan for construction of Public Toilets in Karachi in 1999. After a lengthy hard work of over a year the design was finally approved by the then Governor, Mohammedmian Soomro. The design was prepared by well known Architect, Mr. Shahid Abdullah. CPLC plans to construct about 200 Public Toilets in various area, especially public places like markets, major recreation parks, etc. It has so far constructed 40 toilets in the city. The expenditure for the entire project is being met from committed philanthropists, who are contributing generously for the purpose. |
